WEKA Fachmedien GmbH has been working with the NürnbergMesse Group for twenty years as a “leading provider of specialist publications, digital platforms and events in the fields of electronics, automation and information and communication technology (ICT)”: The “embedded world” trade fair has been held annually in the Franconian city since 2003 and is regarded as the leading trade fair in the field of embedded software and hardware.

As of January 1, 2025, the exhibition company NürnbergMesse Group has now taken over WEKA Fachmedien GmbH. Peter Ottmann in his function as CEO of the NürnbergMesse Group is delighted that the acquisition of WEKA Fachmedien will not only secure the long-term future of Embedded World in Nuremberg, but also consolidate its market position as one of the world’s leading exhibition companies.

The trade fair and media business will be “even more closely interlinked through the takeover in order to continue to offer customers relevant added value in the future”. Matthäus Hose, Managing Director of WEKA Fachmedien GmbH, echoes this sentiment. The company has already enjoyed a trusting and successful working relationship with NürnbergMesse for many years. For the future, Hose promises to become even more successful together.

However, the ecosystem of the previous owner Paragon is to be kept together in the course of the takeover and further developed in a future-oriented manner. This vision for the future naturally also includes cooperation at the leading embedded world trade fair: The next edition will take place from March 11 to 13, 2025.
