{"id":7263,"date":"2023-11-30T14:00:16","date_gmt":"2023-11-30T13:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.componeers.net\/event\/automotive-ethernet-congress-2\/"},"modified":"2025-06-07T12:24:01","modified_gmt":"2025-06-07T10:24:01","slug":"automotive-ethernet-congress-2","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.componeers.net\/en\/event\/automotive-ethernet-congress-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Automotive Ethernet Congress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the biggest challenges facing the automotive industry today is the strategic shift away from its traditional focus on hardware solutions toward a new software-centric approach: the <strong>Software Defined Vehicle (SDV)<\/strong>. The digitization of the automobile requires a radical rethink of both development processes and the entire vehicle&#8217;s architecture. At the heart of that architecture is the <strong>In-Vehicle Network (IVN)<\/strong> and, consequently, it will be directly affected by these changes.  <\/p>\n<p>In the past single criteria such as data rates, costs or the engineer&#8217;s familiarity with the technology were the main factors driving the selection of a particular network technology, today new questions need to be asked: Does the selected transmission technology support the transformation of the E\/E architecture from hardware-based to software-centric? Does it offer the necessary flexibility and self-learning capability to be able to continuously implement new functions? Automotive Ethernet, which supports service-oriented architectures, embodies all these features. In addition, Ethernet is now increasingly being used in new areas of application, such as <strong>Agriculture vehicles<\/strong>, <strong>Truck<\/strong> and <strong>Trailer Mining<\/strong>, and others.   <\/p>\n<p>The <strong>tenth Automotive Ethernet Congress to be held on March 5 &#8211; 7, 2024 in Munich<\/strong> will look to address these and other issues. Here, current, and future technology and product developments will be the focus of the conference program, exhibition, and associated workshops.
